The Clinell Detergent wipes (contained in the yellow packet) do not contain any disinfectant action. Use of these cloths will assist to remove any organic matter or debris, and we would recommend using a Clorox wipe following the use of a Detergent cloth for full disinfection potency.
The detergent step is required as chlorine-based solutions are not as effective in the presence of organic matter, and so any soiling must first be removed. Sole use of the detergent wipes may lead to the surface being treated still being contaminated as the remaining microbes on the surface will not be killed by the liquid formulation.
The Clinell Detergent wipes are indicated only for general cleaning and damp dusting.
The Clinell Universal Wipes (in the green pack) contain detergent and disinfectant in a single wipe, meaning you can complete this with just one step, which will kill microbes (including coronavirus) that are left on the surface.
