We carry out laboratory testing on standard grades of PVC and other commonly used materials, and these tests have shown no expected issues when Universal Wipes are used as directed. Our R&D team has also reviewed UV-stabilised PVC and, based on the function of UV stabilisers—where UV energy is absorbed and safely dissipated—they would not expect these additives to chemically alter the PVC or negatively affect compatibility. As with any material, the definitive answer for a specific device depends on its exact formulation, which may include plasticisers, stabilisers, or other proprietary additives that only the manufacturer or distributor can fully confirm.
While we publish test results for generic material grades, a device is added to our compatibility list only when the manufacturer or distributor has reviewed this information and confirmed that Universal Wipes are suitable for use on their equipment. If a device is not yet listed, the manufacturer will need to verify compatibility for their specific materials. We actively support this process and are ready to provide technical data to any manufacturer or distributor who requests it.
